Summer EDGE: Big Picture

Have you heard teens say things like, “I don’t listen to the song lyrics, just the beat,” or “Sure, the movie was inappropriate, but it was so funny!” Many teens believe the media they consume doesn’t affect them, asserting they should be free to choose regardless of moral lessons taught. This raises a big question: Does media shape culture, or does culture shape media?

We’re excited to invite all rising 6th, 7th, & 8th graders to Summer Edge: Big Picture, a special series of Edge Nights this summer centered around popular movies! Big Picture tackles this big question head-on.

Click the button below to join the Big Picture Flocknote Group, and RSVP your child for each Summer Edge night! When you register for Flocknote, please be sure to add a profile for your child and add them to the Summer Edge: Big Picture group. The Flocknote system will set you as a proxy contact so all the messages will be sent to you. Please do not add any of your child's contact information (i.e email, phone number) in their profile

Changes can be made on our end if needed so please reach out to Blake Richards at bricharda@olmmparish.org if you have anyquestions.
