Sacramental Preparation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is the way the Church helps us receive God’s mercy after we have sinned. In this sacrament, we confess our sins to a priest, express true sorrow, and receive absolution through the ministry of the Church. It restores our relationship with God, brings peace to our conscience, and strengthens us to live more faithfully as disciples of Christ. In the Diocese of Manchester, children in the second grade recieve this sacrament of penance for the first time! Join us starting the fall of 2025 to prepare your children for this sacrament at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal parish! If your child is enrolled at Sacred Heart School, please use the second registration link.
The Sacrament of Confirmation deepens the grace of Baptism. Through the anointing with sacred chrism and the laying on of hands by the bishop, the Holy Spirit strengthens us, roots us more firmly in our identity as God’s children, and equips us to live and witness to our faith with courage. The Sacrament of the Eucharist is our sharing in the Body and Blood of Christ. In receiving Holy Communion for the first time, we are united in a deeper way to Jesus and to the Church. The Eucharist nourishes our souls, strengthens us in holiness, and is the source and summit of the Christian life. In the Diocese of Manchester both the sacrament of Confirmation and First Holy Eucharist are recieved in the third grade at the same Mass!
